About the Artist...
Christine Poulin, artist, teacher, workshop facilitator has been creating for most of her Life as it is a necessary thing for her to express herself via art and its many forms. Since the age of 15, she has explored various techniques such as painting (oil, acrylic, batique, water color), wood carving, pottery, stain glass, chalk and oil pastels, charcoal, sewing, drawing, photography, copper embossing, etc. She is now adding dancing, jewelry and clothing design (using batique and images created with computer graphic art) to the list. She also has been having ideas of creating metallic sculptures... They are thus awaiting manifestation. A welding class is on the horizon as she really feels it is time to create using other techniques.
"Art is in everything that we do, we say and think.
There are colors, textures, shadows and light in everything...
In our words, actions and thoughts."
--Christine Poulin

This Canadian artist is constantly feeling the need to express herself in an artistic way. It is not only an interest. It is an innate necessity. Creative ideas are constantly being generated. Her artistic attributes are quickly becoming apparent as a child... creating original art. Very few reproductions are done. It is an exploration of art in its many forms. Through her art, Christine is simply expressing her various states of mind, her connection to Humanity, to the Earth, to her visions of what it means to be Human.
She's constantly experimenting with new material, new techniques... and always focusing on imprinting high vibrational energies in her art. She says that her paintings are an extension of herself... They are always created from a basic premise : a soul, a message must come through... so that other people can be touched and transformed via her art.
She has participated in many events, sometimes solo, sometimes being part of a group. She has also donated many paintings to foundations in Canada, the US and Ecuador. It is imperative for her to help others in need. It is part of who she is. She sincerely believes that we can make this World a better place by helping others, by sharing our ideas, by embracing our differences and by letting our Inner Artist be our guide.
She has traveled in South America for many years, teaching her values, sharing her views and helping communities in need. Painting murals in orphanages has been a huge part of her experience in Ecuador and Peru.
